Festival Season

Music Festival season is upon us! A long weekend of your favorite artists, local food trucks, and good vibes.

Some of my personal favorites in the past included Lollapalooza in Chicago and Music Midtown in Atlanta! Unfortunately, Music Midtown is on pause for 2023, along with a few other driving distance (from Nashville) festivals, like Forecastle in Louisville. Don’t you worry though, there are still plenty of incredible shows happening all around the country featuring some awesome performers. Here are some of the line ups that have been released for this year so far:

2023 Festival Line Ups:

Some of this year’s headliners include artists like Post Malone, Lizzo, Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey. Music festivals are a great way to experience a variety of musicians while getting the most bang for your buck. Yes, the tickets usually run you at least $200 for the weekend, depending on which festival you are going to. BUT - have you seen concert ticket prices for Taylor Swift and Drake? Going to festivals gives you the chance to enjoy dozens of shows at the fraction of the cost.

My festival tips:

  1. Book ahead - when you have a lot of people traveling to the same city for an event, hotels and rentals sky rocket. Not to mention, ticket prices will increase after the first tier is sold out.

  2. Split your accommodations with a group! This will mitigate some of the upcharge on your stay.

  3. Pack intentionally for your festival’s destination. Festival season is hot! Make sure you bring appropriate attire and invest in a practical water bottle. A lot of people invest in a Camelback, that can be worn on your back and store a lot of water. The water fountain lines get LONG, and you don’t want to lose your spot in the front of the pit!
